The Just For Her Event is continually looking to partner with incredible non-profits in the local communities where we host events. Our goal is to not only create memorable events for women but also events with a purpose to give back. We strive to help local non-profits raise awareness and funds to help support their amazing work they do for our communities.
Our 2017 & 2018 non profit partner, Girls on the Run inspires girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through research-based curricula which includes dynamic discussions, activities and running games. Over the course of the ten-week program, girls in 3rd-8th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event.
In 2016, we partnered with Sunflower House. They work to protect children in our community from physical and sexual abuse through education, advocacy, forensic and medical services. Through our partnership they were able to further grow awareness and support to stop the cycle of child abuse in our community.
For Kansas City's 2015 event, we were proud to select the Susan G. Komen Foundation of Greater Kansas City as our non-profit partner. The Just for Her Event helped them in their mission to educate individuals about breast cancer risk factors, the importance of early detection and the resources that are available to them.
In Des Moines, 2014, we partnered with ARL to bring awareness and donations through ticket sales and a pet adoption at the event. All the dogs and cats brought to the Just For Her Event were adopted!
In Kansas City, 2014, we partnered with Camp Encourage, a local non-profit who provide a summer camp for children with autism. We worked hand in hand with this amazing organization to bring awareness and raise money to send local kids to camp through a silent auction at our event.
For the past 2 years, Just For Her Event has given back to the Blue Valley community and school district by selling tickets and providing all funds raised to the Blue Valley Educational Foundation.
